Bucket loads of Blues support for Ipswich food bank FIND at ITFC’s Portman Road

Volunteers from Families in Need (FIND) were at Portman Road before the match against Derby County in February making a collection for the Ipswich based food bank charity.

Volunteers from Genesis Pr agency gather at Portman Road to collect spare change from ITFC supporters

The FIND volunteers were joined by staff from Ipswich based PR and marketing agency, Genesis, who have supported FIND pro-bono with their PR and marketing since 2017.

ITFC supporters donated £290.45 which brings the total raised for FIND and the FIND 50 appeal by Genesis to just over £1,900.

Penny Arbuthnot, Director of Genesis PR says, “It was great to raise awareness of FIND. We are so proud to support the charity again this year.”

Maureen Reynel MBE, founder and Chair of FIND, says, “FIND are so grateful to all the Blues supporters on the night for donating any spare change they had. It was a great way to start 2019. I know this year will be an amazing year for FIND.”

A new HQ was identified in 2018 and the lease is soon to be signed by Ipswich Borough Council, but the building needs a lot of refurbishment before FIND can move in. A team of generous building firms and specialist consultants including Castons, Barnes Construction, MLM Group, JSH Consulting and Hooper Architects have already been giving their services pro-bono or at cost and are ready to start work when the lease is signed.
