We rely heavily on food and money donations from the local community. Financial donations can be made online or by sending a cheque

By cheque, to either of the following accounts:

“FIND (FAMILIES IN NEED) LTD” (the central fundraising account)
“FOOD BANK (FIND)” (for the support of the food bank)
Please send your cheque, with a note saying which fund it is for, to FIND (Families in Need), PO BOX 1029, Ipswich IP1 9XJ.

Food and other items

Donations of food and toiletries can be made by dropping items into the FIND food bank trolleys at participating East of England Co-Ops around Ipswich, Waitrose Futura Park and at Sainsbury’s Warren Heath and Ipswich town centre.

It is also possible to deliver your donations of food and toiletry items directly to us at the address below.

Here are just some of the items you can donate:   ​​​

  • Long grain rice
  • Long-life whole milk
  • Toiletries for men, women and children
  • Tinned vegetables, meat, fruit/desserts
  • Coffee
  • Sugar
  • Jam
  • Soup                 
  • Pet food (dog, cat, fish, rabbit/guinea pig)
  • Fresh food (cheese, butter, fruit, veg)

​If you need a food parcel, please don't come to the foodbank, but talk to a referring agency who can help in the first instance.

VOLUNTEER

Could you donate 2 or 3 hours regularly, for example each week or even just once a month? ​

Or perhaps you work for a local company and could arrange for a group of employees to support FIND?

We depend on volunteers for all of our work and our team of committed volunteers comes from a variety of backgrounds giving up their time for free.

Volunteers help to sort donated food and other items, collect orders from local shops and make up the food parcels. We also rely on volunteer drivers (Monday to Friday, every afternoon) to make our deliveries.
